Join the Product Coalition European Tour

(and give me a hand if you’d like to help)

I’m VERY excited to be able to share that in 2020 I’ll be taking the Product Coalition on tour, across Europe.

Since 2014 this community has grown from a publication, to a Slack community of 6,000+, to a podcast series now with over 1000 listeners.

I’ve read, edited and published over 3,000 of your articles, moderated 10,000+ Slack comments (without having to ban anyone!) and spent over 100 hours, recording and editing podcast audio and YouTube videos.

I’ve never been paid a dollar in advertising or sponsorship, nor have I received any gifts or freebies. I have however, had 4 amazeballs supporters buy me a coffee though 🙏.

All of this growth has been fantastic, however, I’ve been limited to the impact I can have, due to my geography of Melbourne, Australia.

To take the Product Coalition to the next level, and to maximise the value I can provide this community, in 2020 I’m travelling Europe to:

  • Showcase the best product leaders across Europe (if you are one please reach out)
  • Showcase the best product-led organisations (if you are one please reach out)
  • Meet the community members (if you’d like a coffee please reach out)

To get us started I’ll be visiting my mum in Suffolk for a strong cuppa-tea, then on to London, Copenhagen, Berlin, Munich and Zurich (with more cities to be announced).

Podcast recordings open, only 10 spots in each city:

  • London: 13 + 14 February
  • Copenhagen: 5 March — 20 March
  • Berlin: 26 March — 3 April
  • Munich: 9 April — 17 April
  • Zurich: 23 April — 1 May

10 ways you can help…

It’s been 14 years since I’ve called Europe home, so I’m hoping that you, the community of 25,000 Product Coalition supporters, can help me, and here’s how. Check out the locations and dates above and please get in touch…

  1. If you’re keen to sponsor this tour, to get your brand in front of everyone I meet, and every asset I create on this tour (or part of it)… Videos, Youtube Live, Podcasts, Meetups, Slack, Newsletters (but not the Medium publication). I’m open to idea’s and to co-create what this might look like
  2. If you have 2 spare desks we can work from for a few days in each city
  3. If you have a space I can record podcasts from for a day or two?
  4. If you or someone you know would like to be recorded (Audio for podcast, video for Youtube) for a face to face podcast
  5. If you’d like to be featured as 2020 Product Power Profile; a 5min video of your product awesomeness (great for profile awareness)
  6. If you are a leader in a product-led organisation, and want 25,000 product people to see it showcased as an awesome place to work (great for recruitment campaigns)
  7. If you enjoy speciality/third wave coffee and would like to enjoy a geisha together (one for the coffee nerds), or chat about Proud Mary Coffee.
  8. If you know of a great casual childcare in your city (Jazz my super-cool 4 year old daughter/assistant is travelling with me, to level up her language game beyond Russian and English)
  9. If you have idea’s on how the Product Coalition could go to the next level
  10. If you’re running a product conference and would like the leader of one of the worlds largest product communities on the panel, for an AMA session (I have a very unique global view on product management trends), or as an MC.
  11. Bonus give-back item: If you’re running or connected to a social/community program that you feel would benefit from a free “Introduction to Product Management” workshop, hosted for free by me (I’m keen to give something back to every city I visit)

If you’d like to personally support me, everything I’ve done to build and support the Product Coalition community, and this initiative you can also buy me a coffee here.

I’d really appreciate it if you could also:

So that’s what I’ve got planned for 2020, it’s going to be quite the year, and with your help, I hope we can make it the most amazing year yet, for all of the Product Coalition community worldwide.

Tak skal du have, gracias, Danke dir, obrigado, thank you!

Be cool, be happy, Jay
